technically, my weekend is seven days long at the moment due to me still not having a job (seven weeks of unemployment and counting!), but this is what i did this weekend:
friday afternoon i had a job interview for a mortgage company in the middle of witney. it’s a very small company, run by two business partners (who are also husband and wife) and another colleague called george. i was interviewed by laura who was incredibly friendly, her personality reminded me a little of catherine tate - which isn’t a bad thing! also whilst in town i managed to pick up assassin’s creed for £2.50! how did i accomplish this? well, on the shelf the game was advertised at £12.99, i had £28 with me so didn’t mind paying that, i took it to the counter and the guy got the “proper” game from the drawer and scanned it through and told me that would be £4.99 - error maybe? but i wasn’t going to say anything. i gave him my loyalty card and he said i had £2.50 worth of loyalty points on there and asked if i wanted to use them, which knocked the game’s price down even further! i spent the rest of the afternoon playing that.
in the evening liam picked me up and we went to sainsburys to buy alcohol and snacks. i spent so much money on food - as did liam, and then we came back to mine where we drank alcoholic ginger beer (oh yes), laughed and played violent zombie games until 1am.

myself and liam.

the food i bought. just for myself haha (the milka was my favourite.)

liam.

crabbie’s alcoholic ginger beer. from scotland - like liam! it was incredibly strong, i could only drink one and a little bit of them. also read on the back of the bottle that it’s also an aphrodisiac! who’d have thought?
saturday daytime was pretty uneventful. i woke up early afternoon (as always) and played assassin’s creed for most of the day. until becky came on facebook chat and asked if i’d like to join her and amy for their glee night at becky’s house. i had ate chinese food (there’s a new member of staff at the take-away who, bless her, must have been so nervous as she wouldn’t stop talking, nor could she work their new touch-screen till properly.) whilst the girls ordered pizza. we watched glee for over five hours - no exaggeration! i’ve never been the biggest fan of the series, i can understand the appeal and why it’s absolutely huge both here and in america, but i always thought it was too ott and in-your-face. HOWEVER, whilst watching season one from the start i was slowly beginning to enjoy myself! the acting is good and the storyline is extremely well written, with jokes and puns that actually work without falling flat on their faces. the way the cast covered popular songs both old and new were very creative and all of them have fantastic voices (even if they are autotuned to death) - so my opinion on the glee franchise is vastly changing! what do you think of glee?

fried rice and chicken chow mein from the chinese take-away. NOM.

the popcorn and wine the girls bought. they let me eat the popcorn, but wouldn’t share their wine :(

the culprit. amy and becky are massive ‘gleeks’ and i caught them miming along to most of the songs.

amy and becky.

and again.
becky got pretty tired so went up to bed. after the second disc had finished me and amy cleared up and both went home.
sunday i did absolutely nothing apart from complete assassin’s creed (yes i actually have that little to do that it took me two days to complete a video game) and got more gamerscore on it than my brother which was good hehe. in the evening my brother came into my room and we had several big chats about our futures, good and bad family issues and stuff that’s been making us laugh on the internet. i get on well with my brother and it’s always good to have a nice talk with him, i hope it made him feel better.
so there - that was my weekend! today i’ve been jobhunting online (nothing, as usual) and had a quick conversation with my old flatmate amy. i’m feeling a little sad and glum today unfortunately - i’ve got a few big decisions (as in life altering) to make and i have to make them quickly, and then make other decisions after those ones :( hopefully some help will come my way shortly. i hope everyone is having a nice monday - if that’s even possible!
