Genuine conversation I've just had with my mum
Mum: I went to visit Pete in hospital earlier. And he was in the same room you were when you had that operation a couple of years ago. Anyway I was chatting to the other people on the ward too as you do, and it was so sad. They were all old and ill and looked like they were dying. Was chatting to a woman in a wheelchair too, I gave her hand a little squeeze.
Me: Awww that's nice of you mum. Have you thought about looking into jobs as a carer too? I think you'd be really good at it.
*it goes quiet for about five minutes*
Mum: Oh shit I can't. I've just remembered I've got a criminal record!
Me: Mum! You never told me you had a criminal record! What happened?!
Mum: Yeah I completely forgot. It was for shoplifting with Linda when we were in school. I was drunk too! And because it was before they changed the laws it stays on my bloody record!
Mum: I've always been a bad girl and I won't change!
So my mum forgets her criminal record for shoplifting when she was drunk?! What a legend! Bare in mind she's 59, and as white and middle-class as they come! I'm still laughing now and just thought I would see if it tickles you too!

Today I swam in the sea, spent time with lovely friends and went on a date with a fantastic guy who made me laugh a lot. Good day + happy lewi :)
